JOB TITLE: WEB DEVELOPER & IT SPECIALIST  

LOCATION: REMOTE 

POSITION TYPE: FULL-TIME and PART-TIME



GENERAL DESCRIPTION 

We are looking for a skilled and versatile Web Developer and IT Specialist to join our team. This role combines website development and technical support responsibilities to ensure the functionality, security, and efficiency of both our web platforms and internal IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in web development, along with hands-on experience in hardware/software troubleshooting, network maintenance, and user support within a BPO setting. 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 


  1. Web Development 

  • Design, develop, and maintain responsive and user-friendly company websites, internal portals, and custom web-based applications. 
  • Write clean, scalable, and efficient code using modern web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL. 
  • Possess solid working knowledge of frontend integration and frameworks (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript libraries/frameworks like React or Vue). 
  • Apply strong database management skills, particularly with MySQL, to support dynamic and data-driven web applications. 
  • Ensure all web platforms are secure, mobile-responsive, and optimised for speed, accessibility, and SEO best practices. 
  • Integrate APIs and third-party services, including CRMs, payment gateways, and analytics tools, to enhance site functionality. 
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers, front-end developers, and department stakeholders to deliver consistent, engaging, and intuitive web experiences. 
  • Partner with the digital marketing team to develop and deploy new features, content updates, and performance improvements. 
  • Ability to design, develop, and automate manual forms using digital solutions such as Google Forms, Microsoft Forms, or similar technologies. 
  1. Internal Tools & Automation 

  • Develop custom internal tools and dashboards to support HR, Operations, and Finance departments. 
  • Automate routine business processes using scripts or platforms like Power Automate. 
  • Ensure the smooth integration of tools across departments for improved operational efficiency. 
  1. IT Support & Troubleshooting 

  • Provide timely technical support to employees for Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive). 
  • Troubleshoot software, hardware, and network issues affecting user productivity. 
  • Monitor real-time performance dashboards and respond to incidents promptly. 
  1. Microsoft 365 Administration 

  • Manage Microsoft 365 user accounts, licenses, groups, and access permissions. 
  • Administer Teams channels and SharePoint sites across departments. 
  • Implement and enforce security measures such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP). 
  1. SharePoint Management 

  • Design, create, and maintain SharePoint Online team sites, document libraries, lists, workflows, and user permissions in Microsoft 365. 
  • Configure and administer SharePoint to support seamless collaboration, document sharing, and internal communications. 
  • Optimise document management structures and permission settings to enhance productivity and ensure compliance with data governance policies. 
  • Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and implement tailored SharePoint solutions for document workflows, knowledge bases, and SOP documentation. 
  • Monitor SharePoint performance, proactively troubleshoot issues, and ensure system reliability, uptime, and data integrity. 
  • Establish and enforce governance policies, security configurations, and access controls to protect sensitive information and maintain platform integrity. 
  1. Security & Compliance 

  • Ensure all systems adhere to data protection laws, privacy standards, and internal security policies. 
  • Monitor and audit access controls regularly to safeguard sensitive information and maintain regulatory compliance. 
  • Implement and manage IT compliance tools to support risk mitigation and secure system operations. 
  • Perform routine software and system updates, including security patches, to address potential vulnerabilities. 
  • Conduct and manage regular system backups to ensure data integrity and business continuity. 
  1. Training & Documentation 

  • Train employees on best practices in using Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and internal systems securely. 
  • Create manuals, training videos, and technical documentation for end-user support and IT knowledge sharing. 
  1. Cross-Department Collaboration 

  • Work closely with HR, Operations and Management and other departments to develop and deploy IT and web-based solutions tailored to business needs. 
  • Participate in planning and implementing digital transformation projects and IT improvements. 
  1. USER access management: 

  • Administer and maintain user access rights and permissions across all relevant IT systems and applications. 
  • Ensure alignment with internal security policies and applicable regulatory requirements. 
  • Coordinate closely with HR and department heads to manage access provisioning and deactivation during onboarding, offboarding, and role transitions. 
  • Conduct periodic access reviews and audits to verify appropriate user access levels and identify potential security risks. 
  • Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for access management processes. 
  1. Web Domain Management: 

  • Manage the full lifecycle of domain names registered through platforms such as Hostinger, GoDaddy, and other domain registrars. 
  • Monitor domain expiration dates and ensure timely renewals to avoid service interruptions. 
  • Collaborate with web hosting providers, domain registrars, and certificate authorities to maintain seamless and secure operations. 
  • Configure and maintain DNS records to support websites, email services, and third-party integrations. 
  • Perform domain migrations between registrars or hosting providers when needed, ensuring minimal downtime. 
  • Administer and optimize hosting settings using management dashboards provided by platforms like Hostinger and GoDaddy. 
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of internet protocols, including TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, and SMTP. 
  • Quickly diagnose and resolve domain, DNS, and SSL-related issues. 
  • Possess working knowledge of web hosting environments, DNS management, domain forwarding, email routing, and SSL/TLS configuration.
