Software QA Automation Engineer

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a Software QA Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks for web applications and APIs. This role focuses on improving test coverage, reducing regression risk, and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines to support faster and more reliable releases.

You will work closely with software engineers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality software delivery. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, and experienced in building scalable automation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement automated test frameworks for web and API testing
• Develop and maintain regression, smoke, and integration test suites
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Identify, document, and track software defects
• Collaborate with developers to improve testability and quality standards
• Perform API testing and validate data integrity
• Improve testing efficiency and reduce manual testing effort
• Participate in release validation and production support

Requirements

Requirements
• 3+ years of experience in QA automation
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
• Strong scripting skills in JavaScript, Python, or Java
• Experience with API testing (Postman or similar tools)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows
• Familiarity with SQL and database validation
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and SDLC

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with performance or load testing tools
• Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber or similar)
• Experience testing microservices or distributed systems
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
