About the role

• Participate in second-level sales calls with business development or account management teams to provide technical advice and pre-sales support to prospects.
• Gather prospect requirements and translate them into detailed solution specifications.
• Prepare accurate costings for proposed solutions.
• Provide proposal input and drafting, including technical solutions, any statutory requirements, government-related subsidy inclusions, and pricing, to provide feedback to business development staff for presentation to the prospect.
• Participate in proposal presentations to deliver technical solution elements and answer any prospect questions or concerns.
• Upgrade technical solutions as required to support the sales process.
• Respond to any internal queries relating to technical or commercial matters arising from technical queries.
• Assist with solution installation, customer onboarding, and immediate post-sales technical support.
• Liaise with installers, contractors, and regulatory bodies on technical matters affecting products, solutions, or services.
• Use customer and industry applications for approved proposals that meet Australian standards.

About you

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant Electrical Engineering experience, particularly in system design.
• Basic understanding of solar PV principles, components, and systems.
• Familiarity with solar PV software tools such as PVsyst, Helioscope, OpenSolar, and/or AutoCAD is highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
