• 7+ years of Quality Assurance experience, including team leadership responsibilities.

• Advanced SQL proficiency with experience writing complex queries for data validation and testing.

• Strong experience testing custom applications, data pipelines, and business logic.

• Experience working in Agile development environments.

• Solid understanding of test planning, test case design, defect management, and QA methodologies.

Domain Experience:

• Experience working with Healthcare Data, including healthcare datasets, reporting, or analytics platforms.

• Understanding of healthcare business processes, data structures, and quality considerations.

• Ability to create meaningful test scenarios that validate complex healthcare-related workflows and business logic.

• Leadership Skills

• Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing QA team members.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to balance strategic QA initiatives with hands-on execution.

• Demonstrated capability to manage priorities and handle urgent requests in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience validating data in cloud data platforms such as Snowflake (Snowflake-specific expertise is not required).

• Exposure to value-based care, healthcare analytics, or healthcare data management environments.

• Experience testing ETL/ELT processes and data transformation workflows.

• Familiarity with test automation frameworks and modern QA tools.

• We are seeking an experienced QA Lead to lead a small team of QA engineers and drive quality assurance initiatives across data-intensive healthcare applications. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and healthcare domain knowledge. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, capable of managing testing activities within agile sprints, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring high-quality delivery of complex business-critical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and mentor a team of 2 junior-to-mid-level QA engineers.

• Drive QA planning, execution, and delivery within Agile/Scrum sprints.

• Prioritize testing activities and manage day-to-day QA operations.

• Respond effectively to urgent business requests and shifting priorities.

• Foster collaboration across Engineering, Product, and Business teams.

• Establish and improve QA processes, standards, and best practices.

Quality Assurance & Testing:

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies and test cases.

• Validate complex business logic and data transformations.

• Identify quality risks proactively and recommend mitigation strategies.

• Review test coverage and ensure high standards of accuracy and completeness.

• Support both functional and data validation testing efforts.

Data & Technical Validation

• Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data flows, transformations, and business rules.

• Perform end-to-end testing of custom-built solutions and integrations.

• Analyze healthcare datasets to ensure data quality and business rule compliance.

• Work closely with developers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and validate expected outcomes.

AI and Testing Perspective

• While AI-powered testing tools can accelerate simple test creation and repetitive validation activities, this role requires a QA professional capable of independently designing and executing testing strategies for complex, highly customized healthcare data scenarios where deep domain knowledge, critical thinking, and manual validation expertise remain essential.
