Job description

About Escape

Escape secures the code-to-cloud attack surface. Our platform maps every asset a company actually exposes to the internet including undocumented APIs and endpoints then tests them continuously. We run automated AI penetration testing and DAST at the pace that engineering teams ship code, not just once a year for auditors.

We’re 45+ people based in Paris, Amsterdam, Hawaii, Boston, New York, Series A funded, and rapidly growing.

Why We’re Hiring

Escape has growing customer demand and inbound interest in the Nordics and UK with an already existing client base.

This is a first-in-region role with full ownership. You’ll be responsible for end-to-end sales, your own pipeline, building a territory plan, and shaping how we go to market in these regions. Successful approaches will directly influence our future playbook working in autonomy, direct impact, and shaping our approach.

The Role

You’ll own the full sales cycle, from first contact to signature, selling to technical buyers CISOs, Heads of AppSec, Security Engineers, and platform leaders. These stakeholders have deep expertise, strong preferences, and often existing tools, and will challenge you on how things work.

While you’ll partner closely with Sales Engineers for POCs and technical validation and have direct access to founders and the product team you’ll need to confidently handle first conversations and independently build most of your pipeline.

What You Bring

  • Proven cybersecurity sales experience, you’ve sold real security products to real security teams.

  • Closed complex enterprise deals: six-figure ACVs with long cycles, buying committees, procurement, legal, you’ve managed deals through stalls and restarts.

  • Demonstrated ability to build pipeline from scratch via successful cold outbound.

  • Track record of meeting/exceeding quota ready to discuss your targets and results.

  • Fluent English plus either native/fluent Swedish or deep UK market expertise.

  • Eligible to work in Sweden or the UK (required). We don't do VISA sponsorship.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with AppSec or developer tooling

  • Being the first AE in a new market

  • Knowledge of structured selling methods (e.g., MEDDIC)

  • Experience with partner-led sales

What Success Looks Like

First 3 Months:

  • Confidently demo the product solo and explain our differentiators

  • Deep knowledge of ICP, competitors, and security buying cycles in your region

  • Own and move existing opportunities in the pipeline

  • Write a territory plan: key accounts, segments, priorities

  • Launch consistent outbound and generate your first qualified opportunities

3–6 Months:

  • Independently run end-to-end deals

  • Deliver your first closed-won accounts in-region, including at least one sourced cold

  • Pipeline at 3x forward quota with reliable forecasting and CRM hygiene

  • Bring valuable market insights: why buying cycles start, recurring objections, who we’re losing to and why

  • Strong collaborative rhythm established with Sales Engineering, Marketing, Product with your feedback driving change

6–12 Months:

  • Consistently hit quota with a scalable pipeline

  • Recognized as the point owner for Nordics/UK; you set the direction, we support it

  • Documented playbook new AEs can ramp using your processes

  • See expansion, multi-year deals, reference customers, and case studies

  • Help hire and onboard additional AEs for the region

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary with uncapped commission [OTE, currency, split provided during interviews]

  • [Equity Package]

  • Remote-first, with regular trips to Paris and company offsites

  • Local benefits via Deel EOR

  • Full autonomy and genuine ownership in a high-impact role, with direct access to founders who value your input

Hiring Process

  • 30 min intro call with People & Talent

  • 30 min sales deep dive with our Head of Growth

  • 60 min sales simulation (“Sell Escape back to us”) with an AE and Sales Engineer

  • 45 min conversation with the founders

  • References check, then offer

Total process: 2–3 weeks. We’ll keep you informed throughout.
