Job description

Position: Developer (Cloud Products) - Junior

Number of hours: 40 hours / week
Schedule: EST

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing cloud-native applications using AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.

  • Support the development and maintenance of serverless applications using services such as AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, or Google Cloud Functions.

  • Assist in building, deploying, and managing containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes under the guidance of senior developers.

  • Contribute to cloud modernization initiatives by migrating or enhancing existing applications for cloud environments.

  • Participate in developing APIs, microservices, and cloud-based application components.

  • Perform unit testing, bug fixing, troubleshooting, and simple feature enhancements.

  • Assist in implementing cloud security, monitoring, and logging practices following established standards.

  • Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and project teams to deliver assigned tasks.

  • Maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, and cloud architecture documentation.

  • Follow cloud development best practices, coding standards, and Agile methodologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • 0–2 years of experience in software development, cloud application development, or a related role.

  • Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts and cloud-native application development.

  • Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).

  • Basic knowledge of serverless computing, containerization, and microservices architecture.

  • Familiarity with Docker and basic container management concepts.

  • Basic programming experience in languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go.

  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and version control using Git.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively under guidance in an Agile development environment.

Preferred Certifications

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)

  • Google Cloud Digital Leader

  • Scrum Foundations

  • Docker Foundations (preferred)
