At the heart of electrification, Valeo develops the latest innovations and best technologies meeting the needs of the electric mobility market. Valeo’s Valeo Power Division combines expertise in thermal energy management and powertrain systems, reducing pollutant emissions and maximizing vehicle autonomy.
Valeo’s Site located in Cergy, is Valeo’s Power Division Headquarters. It employs over 800 people working on the development of electric powertrain systems (inverter, onboard charger, etc.).
As part of Valeo’s strategic push into the high-growth markets of data centers and battery energy storage systems (BESS), we are seeking an Expert Power Conversion Engineer M/F.
As a leading technical expert, your role will be to balance technological innovation, quality, and cost control while sharing your expertise with our global teams.
Your responsibilities :
About you :
You hold a master’s degree (Bac+5) in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Applied Physics, and have at least 15 years of professional experience in R&D or engineering in the field of power conversion or complex electrical systems.
You have worked in sectors such as the automotive industry, data center infrastructure, BESS, energy, or high-tech industries, and have developed strong skills in power electronics and energy conversion (AC-DC, DC-DC, high-efficiency topologies).
You are proficient in problem-solving methodologies (such as QRQC) and technical risk management. You are familiar with issues related to intellectual property (patents) and Design-to-Cost.
Curious and recognized for your interpersonal skills and team spirit, you take on a mentoring role to share your knowledge and help teams grow.
You have a strategic vision and a strong innovative spirit.
You are fluent in English.
