Overview

AtkinsRéalis Ireland are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bridge Engineer to join our thriving office in Dublin. With a substantial portfolio of secured projects and a robust pipeline of exciting ventures, this role offers an excellent opportunity for career advancement.

Your role

  • Design Delivery: Undertake structural design and analysis of bridge and civil structures, supporting delivery of project outputs.
  • Technical Support: Provide input to design and contribute to the development of structural solutions under guidance of senior staff.
  • Project Contribution: Assist in the delivery of projects, ensuring work is completed to required quality, timelines, and budget constraints.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated design solutions.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Support communication with internal teams and external stakeholders, as required.
  • Inspections: Flexibility to lead or support bridge inspections throughout the country as required.
  • Learning & Development: Continue to develop technical knowledge and work towards professional accreditation.
  • PSDP Support: Assist in supporting Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) duties where required.

About you

  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible with a proactive approach to work.
  • Experience in the design and/or assessment of concrete, steel, and masonry structures.
  • Familiarity with Eurocodes and structural analysis software (e.g. MIDAS Civil, CSI Bridges).
  • Developing ability in structural analysis and design.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Some exposure to client interaction or multidisciplinary coordination beneficial.
  • Awareness of project delivery processes within a consultancy environment in Ireland.
  • TII Approved Principal Inspection team leader.
  • Level 9 Masters Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Relevant years of experience as a Bridge Engineer.
  • Chartered Engineer or nearing Chartership.
  • Full Irish Driving License.
