PM61 — Principal (Delivery & Growth)
About PM61
PM61 is an enterprise consultancy delivering CRM/ERP and systems integration outcomes across Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce, and adjacent platforms. Role Summary
The Principal is a senior leader accountable for client outcomes, delivery excellence, and revenue growth. Operating in a matrix environment, you will lead multi-disciplinary teams through complex, multi-phased programs while also expanding existing accounts and originating new work. This is a hands-on, builder role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, sets a high bar for execution, and builds trust with executive stakeholders.
This is a contract, fully remote role. PST business hours are required. Preference may be given to candidates currently residing in British Columbia.
What You’ll Own (Outcomes)
  • Deliver complex client programs on time, on budget, and to measurable business outcomes.
  • Build trusted executive relationships and become a go-to advisor for delivery, risk, and value realization.
  • Grow revenue through account expansion, referrals, and new client acquisition.
  • Build and scale high-performing delivery teams (employee and contractor mix) aligned to PM61 standards.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Delivery Leadership
  • Lead medium-to-large, multi-phased programs across the full project lifecycle (discovery through deployment and stabilization).
  • Manage all aspects of delivery: scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, dependencies, and communications.
  • Establish delivery governance and operating cadence: status reporting, RAID management, decision logs, change control, and stakeholder zlignment.
  • Produce and maintain core delivery artifacts: Project Charter, Integrated Plan, RACI, Status Reports, RAID logs, Change Requests, and Resource Plans.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (Solution Architects, Developers, Business Analysts, QA, and Application Support) using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methods.
  • Drive executive-level stakeholder management and ensure decisions are made quickly with clear accountability.
Commercial & Account Leadership
  • Own project financials: revenue forecasting, margin awareness, invoicing readiness, and delivery-to-contract alignment.
  • Expand existing accounts by identifying new opportunities, shaping follow-on roadmaps, and converting delivery success into additional scope.
  • Originate and qualify new opportunities through your network and proactive outreach.
  • Lead discovery sessions, define success criteria, and translate client needs into clear statements of work.
  • Contribute to proposals and close plans, partnering with PM61 leadership to win and launch new engagements.
Team Building & Capability Development
  • Assemble and lead high-performing teams by selecting the right mix of internal talent and contractors.
  • Set clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards across delivery teams.
  • Coach and mentor delivery leads and consultants to strengthen client communication, execution discipline, and commercial awareness.

Requirements

Requirements

  • 7+ years project/program leadership experience delivering complex, multi-phased technology deployments.
  • Proven track record delivering projects on time and on budget while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to expand accounts and support business development (discovery, solution framing, proposals).
  • Strong command of Agile/Scrum and traditional PM principles; ability to apply the right approach for the context.
  • Experience leading cross-functional technology teams (Architects, Developers, BAs, QA, Support) in distributed environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident presenting to executive audiences.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC and internet/cloud technologies.
  • Undergraduate degree and/or equivalent experience; completion of project management coursework.

Nice to Have

  • PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, or equivalent certifications.
  • Experience with Dynamics 365, Salesforce, CRM/ERP programs, or systems integration.
  • Experience leading contractor-heavy delivery models.
  • Working knowledge of additional languages.

Working Model

  • Contract, fully remote.
  • PST business hours required.
  • Preference for candidates residing in BC.
