This is a remote position.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Windchill System Administrator to maintain, support, and enhance our Windchill system. The ideal candidate will manage the Windchill environment, ensure its reliability and performance, and provide technical support to users. The role involves system upgrades, configuration management, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

Windchill Environment Management:
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windchill environment.
  • Manage system upgrades and patches to ensure the environment is up to date and secure.
System Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
  • Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and resolve them promptly.
  • Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for system errors and failures.
Security and Access Control:
  • Implement and enforce security policies, user access control, and permissions management.
  • Ensure that system security protocols are followed to protect sensitive data.
Backup and Recovery Management:
  • Manage and execute backup and recovery procedures for Windchill environments to safeguard data integrity.
Support and Documentation:
  • Provide system support to end-users, assisting with issues and offering solutions.
  • Maintain detailed documentation on system configuration, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Performance Tuning and Optimization:
  • Monitor system performance and optimize configurations to improve system efficiency and speed.


Requirements

Experience:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Windchill administration.
  • Expertise in system administration for both Windows and Linux server environments.
Technical Skills:
  • Strong experience in database administration (Oracle/MS SQL).
  • Solid understanding of network and security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, LDAP, etc.).
  • Experience with system monitoring and performance troubleshooting.
  • Expertise in performance tuning and system optimization.
Problem-Solving Skills:
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve issues under pressure.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities for both routine maintenance and unexpected system challenges.
