Job description

Position: Windows Automation Bot Developer

Number of hours: TBA
Schedule: PST Timezone


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain a Windows-based automation bot that monitors a designated webpage for available tasks and automatically claims them when they become available.

  • Develop an automated workflow that refreshes the webpage, detects available tasks, and executes task claiming based on configurable intervals.

  • Implement start, stop, and pause controls to allow users to manage bot operations efficiently.

  • Build configurable settings for refresh intervals, notifications, and automation preferences.

  • Develop secure login credential management to ensure safe authentication and access.

  • Implement Windows desktop or taskbar notifications, with optional sound alerts, to confirm successful task claims and important system events.

  • Create comprehensive activity and error logging for monitoring, troubleshooting, and auditing bot performance.

  • Implement safeguards to prevent duplicate task claims and ensure reliable task processing.

  • Ensure the application can run efficiently in the background or while minimized without impacting system performance.

  • Develop automatic recovery mechanisms to detect webpage failures and restore bot functionality without manual intervention.

  • Perform thorough testing, debugging, and optimization to ensure compatibility with Windows 10 and Windows 11.

  • Deliver complete source code, documentation, setup instructions, and provide post-deployment testing and bug support.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Python Developer, Automation Developer, RPA Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role.

  • Strong proficiency in Python with hands-on experience using Selenium, Playwright, or similar web automation frameworks.

  • Experience with C#/.NET or developing Windows desktop applications is an advantage.

  • Strong understanding of web automation, browser interaction, and task scheduling.

  • Experience developing automation bots that interact with dynamic web applications and user interfaces.

  • Knowledge of secure credential management and authentication best practices.

  • Experience implementing logging, exception handling, and automated error recovery.

  • Familiarity with Windows desktop notifications, background services, and application lifecycle management.

  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

  • Experience integrating APIs for automation is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently, manage project timelines, and deliver high-quality solutions.
