Description

The Senior Management Consultant will provide business management, organizational improvement, reporting, stakeholder coordination, and mission support consulting services to the United States Coast Guard CG-C5I Operational Technology Integrated Systems organization.


This role will support CG-C5I-OTIS in improving business operations, refining management processes, developing metrics, supporting executive reporting, tracking strategic goals, improving project visibility, and supporting the implementation of mission support business models. The Senior Management Consultant will work closely with Coast Guard stakeholders, System Support Agents, project managers, acquisition personnel, and technical teams to strengthen business performance and support the successful execution of CG-C5I-OTIS priorities.


The ideal candidate has strong federal management consulting experience, experience supporting business process improvement or organizational change initiatives, and the ability to translate complex operational information into clear reports, metrics, action plans, and decision-support products.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide senior-level business management and consulting support to CG-C5I-OTIS.
  • Support implementation and refinement of mission support business models, business processes, and management practices.
  • Support development and tracking of strategic goals and process improvement initiatives.
  • Develop, refine, and maintain business performance metrics and reporting processes.
  • Collect, consolidate, analyze, and report information for executive and stakeholder communications.
  • Support regular executive and stakeholder consolidated reporting.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining processes for task management, resource tracking, progress reporting, and communications delivery.
  • Support Fleet-Wide System Support management and coordination activities for CG-C5I System Support Agents.
  • Assist with managing scheduled tasks assigned to CG-C5I-OTIS System Support Agents.
  • Support coordination of major system installation activities across Coast Guard platforms.
  • Assist with technical design review and Operational Test & Evaluation coordination from a business management perspective.
  • Manage and reconcile Integrated Master Schedule information for assigned tasks using tools such as Microsoft Project and Enterprise Project Management systems.
  • Attend scheduled C4ISR transition meetings to coordinate activities, disseminate upcoming assignments, and provide task status.
  • Develop processes and metrics for cutter business development readiness.
  • Coordinate and support preparation for Program Accountability and Risk Management meetings.
  • Support organizational change management, stakeholder engagement, meeting facilitation, and business process documentation.
  • Identify issues, process gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement and recommend practical solutions.
Requirements
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience in management consulting, business management support, federal program support, process improvement, organizational change, or related work.
  • Experience supporting federal business operations, management analysis, strategic initiatives, or program execution.
  • Experience developing metrics, reports, dashboards, briefings, action plans, or decision-support materials.
  • Experience coordinating with senior stakeholders, technical teams, and cross-functional groups.
  • Experience supporting process improvement, project integration, business operations, or mission support initiatives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
Salary Description
120,000 - 145,000
