Clinical Social Work Supervisor


Minnesota and North Dakota

Location: Minnesota and North Dakota
Program: Multi-State Outpatient Behavioral Health Program

Psychiatric Medical Care is seeking an experienced Clinical Social Work Supervisor to support social workers and behavioral health programs serving patients in Minnesota and North Dakota.

The ideal candidate will provide approachable, collaborative clinical supervision while helping clinicians maintain high standards for patient care, documentation, ethics, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group clinical supervision to social workers practicing in Minnesota and North Dakota
  • Support clinicians with assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, documentation, ethical concerns, and complex cases
  • Monitor supervisees’ progress toward licensure requirements
  • Maintain accurate supervision plans, logs, evaluations, and board documentation
  • Ensure supervision practices meet applicable state licensing requirements
  • Partner with clinical and operational leaders to support onboarding, training, quality improvement, and consistent clinical practices
  • Stay current on social work licensing and supervision requirements in both states

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program
  • Active, unrestricted Minnesota LICSW license
  • Active, unrestricted North Dakota LCSW license
  • Board-approved, recognized, or eligible to provide clinical licensure supervision in at least one of the two states
  • Experience providing clinical supervision, consultation, or leadership
  • Strong knowledge of clinical practice, documentation, ethics, and risk management
  • Ability to maintain accurate supervision and licensing records
  • Strong communication, coaching, and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Approved or eligible to provide licensure supervision in both states
  • Experience supervising clinicians working toward independent licensure
  • Experience in outpatient behavioral health or intensive outpatient programming
  • Experience supporting multi-state clinical teams
  • Knowledge of Medicare documentation requirements
