THE WORK:

• Develop and maintain strategic IBM Mainframe applications supporting critical business processes in the banking sector while demonstrating a commitment to constant progress and high-quality delivery.

• Analyze business requirements and design scalable solutions using COBOL, JCL, CICS, z/OS, and DB2, with a passion for personal development and continuous improvement.

• Diagnose and resolve production issues, optimize application performance, and implement enhancements with a proactive approach to skill enhancement.

• Collaborate with international project teams on modernization initiatives, integrating established Mainframe technologies with automation and AI-driven solutions while being motivated to embrace new opportunities.

• Support knowledge sharing and mentor less experienced developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.

Flexible: The work location for this role may include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office depending on specific project circumstances. With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders, and communities. HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in development and maintenance of IBM Mainframe applications.

• Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, CICS, and z/OS.

• Practical experience working with DB2 databases, including SQL development, query optimization, and data analysis.

• Ability to analyze business requirements and independently design and implement technical solutions.

• Experience troubleshooting production issues and optimizing existing applications.

• Proactive, self-driven approach with accountability for delivered solutions.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within international project teams.

• English proficiency at minimum B2 level.
