Job description

Director, Product Marketing

Location: Austin, TX or Boston, MA
Team: Marketing
Employment Type: Full-Time, Remote

About VulnCheck

Exploitation prevention is only as strong as the intelligence driving those efforts, and most of the industry is still running on intelligence that lacks exploit context. VulnCheck, The Exploit Intelligence Company, delivers structured exploit intelligence on what is actively weaponized in the wild, purpose-built for the data lakes, ETL pipelines, automation, and AI and LLM workflows your infrastructure already runs on, raising the capability of everything it powers.

About the Role

The Director, Product Marketing will be responsible for shaping how VulnCheck’s products are positioned and perceived in the market. This role bridges the gap between product, sales, and marketing—turning complex cybersecurity capabilities into clear, compelling value propositions. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on: able to define go-to-market strategies, build messaging frameworks, and deliver sales enablement content that drives customer engagement and pipeline growth. This role starts as an individual contributor owning all of product marketing, with the expectation of building out a team as the function grows. This is a 100% remote role with preference for candidates located in the Boston, MA or Greater Austin, TX region.

What You’ll Do

  • Messaging & Positioning:  Develop differentiated product messaging and positioning that highlights VulnCheck’s unique value in the vulnerability and exploit intelligence space.
  • Content Development and Enablement: Create sales and marketing assets, including solution briefs, case studies, competitive battlecards, and presentations.
  • Go-to-Market (GTM): Lead GTM launches with the Product team for new product features, ensuring alignment across sales, marketing, and product teams.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct continuous competitive analysis and market research to inform strategy and help position VulnCheck against competitive alternatives as part of the content program and the analyst relations program.
  • Sales Enablement: Equip the sales team with tools, training, and content that help them effectively communicate VulnCheck’s value across use cases and vertical markets.
  • Customer Voice: Collaborate with customers and the community to capture success stories and ensure our messaging reflects real-world impact. (case studies, Gartner Peer Insights)
  • Campaign Support: Partner with demand generation and content teams to design campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and pipeline through content and through representing VulnCheck on webinars and at industry events.

What You’ll Bring

  • 8+ years of product marketing experience in B2B cybersecurity technology, with at least one role having been in threat intelligence, vulnerability management or security operations.
  • Prior people leadership experience and comfort operating as a hands-on IC initially, with future opportunity to hire and lead a team.
  • Proven ability to craft messaging that resonates with both technical and executive audiences across the VulnCheck TAM and collection of personas.
  • Experience supporting sales teams by building enablement tools, resources and key selling assets.
  • Strong understanding of vulnerability management, threat intelligence, or security operations.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, startup environment with a collaborative and hands-on mindset.
