Job Title: Director of IT - Financial Solutions

Location: Chicago, IL

Hybrid role: We offer a wonderful flexible schedule, allowing you to work from home, while joining us in our beautiful and collaborative offices as well.

Pay: Base Salary plus commission (OTE $190k to $225k Annually)

Who You'll Be Working For

Our client and their global family of brands (Wine, Gin, and more) is looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of IT with a history of delivering financial solutions for overall business operations and success. Their primary brand locations are located throughout North America and globally. With recent strides in growth, they are looking for an exceptional leader to join their incredible team.

The Ideal Candidate will:

  • Help amplify the accounting, FP&A, analytics, and treasury, to support the global growth of the company.
  • Partner with the finance organization to define the target operating model design for the company's financial system landscape and business processes.
  • Evaluate the ERP capabilities
  • Co-lead the ERP finance track during the ERP implementation
  • Provide thought leadership and finance subject matter expertise for the CIO, with the ability to speak both the languages of IT and finance
  • Lead strategic cost optimization by defining the approach to managing cost and completing against it
  • Facilitate and support IT in business case and funding approval processes
  • Improve budgeting and forecasting processes for both IT capital and operating expenses
  • Partner with AP and IT teams to facilitate efficient invoice and payment processes to vendor/partners
  • Develop financial visibility through timely reporting, audience-specific dashboards, and analysis
  • Lead Vendor Management Office (VMO) for MAG IT, coordinating operations activities related to effective execution IT supplier strategy, including Managed Services Partnership(s)
  • Develop vendor management strategy and work with IT leadership to standardize and codify supplier evaluation and selection. Work with MAG corporate finance controllership to align on strategies
  • Facilitate the development of negotiation strategies and contractual performance metrics and service levels. Support negotiations in partnership with subject matter owners and lead management of IT contracts, which includes such as renewals, terms, and conditions
  • Facilitate coordination of IT-wide initiatives IT communications, planning, quarterly business reviews, town-halls, development, and recognition programs
  • Lead creation, development, and use of IT reports and performance dashboards tailored to different audiences or stakeholders


Who you are:

  • A minimum of 10 years leading ERP/ platform with a heavy focus on finance business process improvements and transformation
  • 7 + years in an IT leadership position
  • Experience working in a complex IT organization, working with stakeholders in finance, and across the company
  • Master's degree in finance, business, computer science or a related field; MBA is preferred.
  • Proficient in financial reporting, budgeting, variance analysis, forecasting, and month-end processes
  • A visible leader with executive presence with excellent communication skills
  • Able to manage competing demands, prioritize work with a sense of urgency, meet deadlines, work independently, and deliver on commitments
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships, establish trust and provide counsel in a thoughtful, sensitive and timely manner
  • Flexible and able to adjust to a constantly evolving work environment
  • Ability to develop a culture of visibility and a sense of purpose among the team and build clear accountabilities and metrics
  • Skilled in negotiation, conflict resolution, and problem-solving to achieve win-win outcomes
