What You'll Be Doing

As our Remote Mechanical Engineer, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, simulate, and refine mechanical systems for complex engineering challenges. Your designs will influence everything from energy systems to aerospace prototypes.

Your day-to-day will include:

- Designing and developing mechanical systems and components tailored to client specifications

- Creating detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and engineering documentation

- Performing thermal, structural, and fluid flow analysis to validate designs

- Collaborating with CFD specialists, electrical engineers, and test engineers to ensure system integrity

- Integrating feedback from physical testing and simulations into design revisions

- Supporting the development of custom test hardware used in fluid and thermal experiments

- Ensuring all designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements

- Participating in virtual design reviews and cross-team brainstorming sessions

- Staying current on new tools, trends, and materials that could optimize system performance

Who You Are

You're a solution-driven engineer who loves turning theory into functional, reliable systems. You're deeply curious, detail-oriented, and love working in collaborative (but remote!) environments.

We are looking for someone with:

- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

- ️ 35+ years of hands-on mechanical design experience (remote experience is a plus!)

- Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, etc.)

- Familiarity with FEA, CFD, or simulation tools to validate performance

- ️ Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mechanical systems

- Clear communicator who can explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical teams

- Ability to manage multiple projects independently while collaborating asynchronously

Bonus points if you have:

- Experience designing custom test rigs

- Exposure to industries like power, biotech, or aerospace

- Background working with cross-disciplinary teams (electrical, fluid systems, software)
