Senior Groundwater Modeller (Hydrogeologist)
Vancouver, BC; Toronto, ON; Calgary, AB; Saskatoon, SK; Remote - Full-Time Regular
 
As a Senior Modeler I you will be responsible for developing conceptual, analytical, and numerical groundwater models to support environmental impact assessments, permitting, water treatment and remediation projects for Ensero clients

About the Role
  • Develop conceptual, analytical, and numerical groundwater models to support environmental impact assessments, permitting, water treatment and remediation projects for Ensero clients.
  • Provide senior hydrogeological technical input and act as a Hydrogeology SME to projects throughout Ensero.
  • Technical communications, including report writing and reviewing.
  • Conduct, interpret and report on hydrogeological and water studies.
  • Interpret aquifer tests, characterize aquifers based on maps and other spatial data, and perform spatial analysis.
  • Interface with other technical experts to achieve multidisciplinary project goals.
  • Interact and liaise with clients and assessors/government regulators.
  • Identify and prioritize key opportunities for growth and expansion by new client accounts to accelerate business and portfolio growth. 
  • Contributes to business development through leading proposal development, scope development and presentations
  • Provide technical input to projects within your area(s) of expertise
  • Mentor and provide technical training to junior and intermediate team members

  • About You

    Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related science (Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science or Engineering)
  • Master’s / Doctorate level degree preferred.
  • P.Geo. or P.Eng. accreditation or eligibility an asset
  • Experience
  • 7 - 9 years of relevant experience in mining or environmental consulting with demonstrated success in groundwater modelling and groundwater programs
  • Experience with hydrogeological modelling software (FEFLOW, MODFLOW, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of hydrogeological study design and comfort integrating with multi-disciplinary studies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other business software
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels
