Summary Objective

The Electrical Superintendent will coordinate and manage the team of electricians responsible for installation, wiring and testing of electrical components of chilled water systems. Responsibilities include task assignments, staff training, inspections and technical problem solving. As a leader, the Electrical Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring Stellar Energy’s highest quality standards are met and that all safety procedures are implemented.

 

Essential Functions

  • Lead multi-product line operations -- orchestrate electrical installations across diverse chiller system configurations and evolving product designs, ensuring seamless production flow and resource optimization across concurrent projects 
  • Drive strategic production planning -- collaborate with project management to develop master schedules, allocate electrical resources across competing priorities, and maintain delivery commitments that directly impact customer timelines 
  • Partner cross-functionally -- work closely with procurement to ensure material availability, coordinate with field technicians on installation requirements, and align manufacturing output with project deployment needs 
  • Mentor and develop leadership -- provide hands-on coaching to electrical foremen and junior team members, modeling technical excellence and manufacturing discipline while building the next generation of electrical leaders 
  • Optimize manufacturing capacity -- establish cost estimates, determine optimal manpower levels, and implement process improvements that increase throughput while reducing cycle times and production costs 
  • Ensure zero-defect quality -- coordinate comprehensive quality inspections across all product lines, maintain ISO 9001 compliance, and uphold Stellar Energy's reputation for flawless performance testing 
  • Champion safety excellence -- implement and monitor electrical safety procedures across the manufacturing floor, maintain Competent Persons training programs, and enforce compliance to protect team members 
  • Manage critical infrastructure -- oversee project and subcontractor schedules, coordinate shop floor activities, and ensure tool certifications, calibrations, and equipment availability never limit production capacity 
  • Adapt to evolving technology -- stay ahead of advancing product designs, integrate new electrical systems and components into manufacturing processes, and ensure the team's technical capabilities evolve with company innovation 
  • Lead continuous improvement -- proactively identify and implement improved methods of production, eliminate waste, streamline workflows, and drive efficiency gains that give Stellar Energy a competitive edge 
  • Maintain compliance readiness -- prepare electrical operations for ISO 9001 and regulatory audits, ensuring all documentation, processes, and installations meet the highest industry standards

Supervisory Responsibility
 
This position does have direct report supervisory responsibilities.

 

Work Location

This position will work out of our Manufacturing facilities in Jacksonville, Florida or Fort Worth, Texas. This position is not approved for telecommuting or working remotely. 

 

Work Environment
 
This position operates out of a fabrication facility. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is sometimes exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.


Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
 
This is a full-time position, with flexibility required to meet production demands and support cross-functional collaboration. First shift days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

 

Travel
 
Travel is primarily not required with exception to local travel during the business day and occasional visits to job sites.

 

Required Education and Experience.

  • High school diploma or GED 
  • 10+ years of experience managing electrical personnel in industrial or manufacturing environments with demonstrated ability to drive multi-project production results 
  • Journeyman or Masters Electricians License. 
  • 5+ years’ experience mentoring foremen and developing leadership capabilities in team members 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production management software for scheduling, budgeting, and reporting

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems in manufacturing leadership role 
  • Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certification 
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or related field
