Job description

The Contracts Counsel will support the Corporate Legal Department by drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and administering commercial agreements while helping ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. The role will partment closely with internal stakeholders and provide practical legal guidance on routine contractual matters. 

This is a remote position.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Draft, review, revise, and negotiate commercial agreements
  • Support contract intake, review, execution, and tracking processes
  • Identify contractual risks and recommend practical solutions
  • Conduct legal research and assist with compliance initiatives
  • Develop and maintain contract templates and playbooks
  • Support dispute resolution, governance matters, and diligence activities

Qualifications: 

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active bar membership in good standing
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with commercial contracts, healthcare, technology, or corporate law
  • Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment

Work Environment:

  • Remote position with quarterly onsite Legal Department meetings
  • Travel generally less than 5%

 

PAY RANGE

CorVel uses a market-based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location.  Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors:  federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions.  Our ranges may be modified at any time.

For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.  The level may impact the salary range, and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.

Pay Range:  $138,915 โ€“ $180,428.85
