The mission

You will be joining a growing team that is responsible for the continuous evolution of Hume—our in-house developed graph analytics solution. As a UX Designer, you will be responsible for creating intuitive, efficient, and visually clear user experiences targeted at the users of complex B2B software in the domain of Knowledge Graphs. You will work closely with the product team and the engineering team to ensure that work is delivered smoothly and in line with the overall plans and goals of the organisation

Job Overview

We are looking for a user-centric, analytical, and collaborative UX Designer to join our product team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating intuitive, accessible, and visually seamless digital experiences. You will partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and UX Specialists, to translate complex user needs and business requirements into elegant design solutions.

The ideal candidate is an empathetic problem-solver who excels at user research, wireframing, prototyping, and continuous usability testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • User and Stakeholder Discovery: Gather insights through client conversations, internal stakeholders, subject-matter experts, and product teams. Use mockups, prototypes, and design concepts to explore needs, validate assumptions, and translate feedback into clear product requirements and design decisions.

  • User Journeys, Use Cases, and Flows: Define and document user journeys, key use cases, task flows, and interaction models for complex B2B web applications. Ensure that workflows are logical, scalable, and aligned with both user needs and business objectives.

  • Wireframing and Prototyping: Create wireframes and interactive prototypes in Figma to communicate ideas, explore solutions, and support discussions with clients, stakeholders, and development teams. Iterate on concepts based on feedback and technical constraints.

  • Design Validation and Iteration: Evaluate design concepts through stakeholder reviews, client feedback sessions, prototype walkthroughs, and lightweight usability validation. Identify friction points and refine solutions based on qualitative feedback and product usage insights.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration and Handoff: Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and domain experts to clarify requirements, shape product solutions, and advocate for the user throughout the development process. Prepare clear, structured design specifications and support material for Frontend Developers.

  • Design System Contribution: Apply existing design patterns and components consistently across the product. Contribute to the ongoing development, documentation, and improvement of the team’s design system and component library as the initiative evolves.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Professional Experience: At least 3 years of professional UX or Product Design experience, ideally within an in-house product team. Experience designing complex B2B web applications, data-heavy products, or enterprise software is highly valued.

  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating your problem-solving approach and design process. We are particularly interested in case studies that show how you understood a problem, explored different solutions, collaborated with others, and arrived at a final design.

  • Education: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Design Tools: Strong proficiency in Figma for wireframing, prototyping, design documentation, and collaboration.

  • AI-assisted Prototyping: Familiarity with, or an interest in learning, AI-assisted and “vibe coding” tools for rapid ideation, prototyping, and concept exploration. We currently use Claude.

  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication, active listening, and presentation skills. You should be comfortable explaining the rationale behind your design decisions and adapting your communication to different audiences.

  • Accessibility: A solid understanding of accessibility principles and WCAG standards, with the ability to apply them to product design decisions.
