Job description

Want to change the world?

We’re a hypergrowth AI startup backed by top-tier VC firms. We’ve created a new paradigm for enterprise artificial intelligence with a breakthrough technology called Organizational Memory (OM1). It’s fundamentally reshaping how people do work.

Unlike any other AI product, OM1 builds “a brain” for companies–knows what’s happening in real time across the whole business, and has all the output capabilities of a human employee.

Roles like Product, Engineering, G2M, and Management will never be the same. And while we’re starting by selling our technology to other software businesses, we have the ability to serve hundreds of different industries. We're not just building another productivity tool. We're ushering in a fundamental revolution in how humans do work.

With proven product-market fit, rapid YoY ARR growth, and household-name customers, we’re expanding our sales team to further penetrate mid-market and enterprise, and dominate what will be a $10T+ industry.

And we’re only just getting started.

We need the best builders in the world to come show us what's possible!

About the job

We need a talented, ambitious, hard-working senior software engineer with 8+ years of experience who can help us build this rocket ship while we're flying it. We need someone who wants to automate their own role with AI so they can do the job of 100 engineers.

You are that person.

You are a hungry full stack software developer who is capable of thought leadership and high-quality code output, but who is also obsessed with making customers happy, and will do whatever it takes to make it happen. You are also autonomous and happy to take on big, ambiguous problems as one of the first engineers at a fast-growing startup.

You’re willing to work nights and weekends if needed to get key projects over the line. But you (like us!) are more than your code and your hard work! You love building a culture where people love to work (❤️) but believe in putting people first while having a huge amount of fun while you do your job 😁 .

The idea of starting the next Industrial Revolution (aka Coworker) makes you extremely excited.

What you’ll do in the role

  • Rapidly build, ship, and test new applications on top of our AI platform to compete with and 10x existing SaaS tools

  • Get your hands dirty deep in the AI systems, as well as writing traditional application code

  • Bake AI into every part of your role to make it better, trying to automate it away so you can do 100 jobs at once

  • Be a thought leader in the enterprise AI space

  • Manage and mentor junior engineers

  • Guide the early Coworker technical architecture decisions that will resonate throughout the global economy for years to come 🤯

  • Establish the Coworker engineering culture–live the mission and set a standard

  • Help the product team craft the team vision, strategy, and roadmap while proposing innovative solutions, as well as understanding technical limitations

  • Drive key business metrics

  • Have an inordinate amount of fun

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree (Computer Science preferred)

  • 10+ years of professional experience in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Go)

  • Experience and desire to own new products from zero to one, from system design to implementation to deployment

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Experience in React, Next.js, and TypeScript (nice to have)

  • Experience with LLM Operations and prompt engineering (nice to have)

  • Excitement, ambition, and fun

Perks

  • Unlimited paid time off

  • Medical, dental, and vision

  • Early and generous employee stock option plan

  • $100 monthly health and wellness benefit

  • 401(k) plan

  • Paid family leave

  • Apple products for work

Drop us a line!

We encourage you to drop us a line even if you feel over- or under-qualified. We want to find the best people to help us build Coworker no matter who they are. We have a lot of different areas of responsibility and we are always happy to brainstorm with you about what would be the best fit.

Coworker.ai is an equal opportunity employer. We believe everyone should feel great about being their authentic selves at Coworker–this is the only way to do our best work! We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
