Job description

This is a remote position.

Key Responsibilities

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management (SCM)

  • Lead functional design, configuration, implementation, and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management solutions.
  • Analyze business processes and recommend D365 SCM solutions aligned with supply chain best practices.
  • Configure D365 SCM modules including manufacturing, planning, inventory, warehouse, procurement, and asset management.
  • Support system upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct requirement gathering sessions, fit-gap analysis, solution design workshops, and user training.

Core Functional Expertise Required

1. Production Control / Manufacturing Operations

  • Configure and support D365 Production Control functionality.
  • Experience with production orders, batch orders, formulas, routes, BOMs, and production scheduling.
  • Support manufacturing execution processes including:
  • Discrete manufacturing
  • Process manufacturing
  • Lean manufacturing concepts
  • Shop floor execution
  • Configure production parameters, work centers, resources, and capacity planning.
  • Support production reporting, consumption, and costing processes.

2. Master Planning & Supply Planning

  • Configure and optimize D365 Master Planning capabilities.
  • Support demand and supply balancing processes.
  • Configure:
  • Coverage groups
  • Planning parameters
  • Safety stock
  • Reorder policies
  • Planned purchase orders
  • Planned production orders
  • Analyze planning results and recommend improvements.
  • Support MRP optimization and supply chain planning strategies.

3. Inventory Management

  • Configure and support D365 Inventory Management processes.
  • Manage inventory transactions including:
  • Receipts
  • Transfers
  • Adjustments
  • Reservations
  • Cycle counting
  • Inventory closing
  • Configure inventory dimensions:
  • Site
  • Warehouse
  • Location
  • Batch
  • Serial tracking
  • Support inventory optimization and accuracy initiatives.

4. Warehouse Management (WMS)

  • Design and configure Dynamics 365 Warehouse Management solutions.
  • Support warehouse operations including:
  • Inbound receiving
  • Put-away
  • Picking strategies
  • Packing
  • Shipping
  • Cycle counting
  • Configure warehouse processes, work templates, location directives, and mobile device workflows.
  • Support warehouse automation and operational improvements.

5. Advanced Warehouse Management (Advanced WMS)

  • Strong hands-on experience with D365 Advanced Warehouse Management capabilities.
  • Configure advanced warehouse processes including:
  • Wave management
  • Work creation
  • Cluster picking
  • Directed put-away and picking
  • Warehouse mobile device configuration
  • Containerization
  • Transportation integration
  • Optimize warehouse efficiency through automation and process improvements.
  • Support integration with warehouse automation technologies such as:
  • Barcode/RFID systems
  • Conveyor systems
  • Automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS)
  • Robotics solutions

6. Procurement & Sourcing

  • Configure and support D365 Procurement and Sourcing processes.
  • Manage:
  • Purchase requisitions
  • Purchase orders
  • Vendor collaboration
  • Approval workflows
  • Procurement policies
  • Support supplier management and purchasing optimization.
  • Integrate procurement processes with inventory and production planning.

7. Demand Planning

  • Support demand forecasting and planning processes.
  • Configure demand planning parameters and forecasting models.
  • Analyze historical demand trends and supply requirements.
  • Collaborate with business teams to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Support integration between demand planning, master planning, and procurement.

8. Asset Management

  • Configure and support Dynamics 365 Asset Management functionality.
  • Manage:
  • Equipment lifecycle
  • Preventive maintenance
  • Corrective maintenance
  • Work orders
  • Maintenance schedules
  • Asset tracking
  • Support integration between asset management, production, and inventory processes.
  • Improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management.
  • Strong functional consulting experience in D365 SCM implementations and support projects.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain business processes.
  • Experience with end-to-end ERP implementations including:
