Job description

This is a remote position.

The Oracle EBS MSCA Developer will work closely with functional consultants, business users and technical teams to deliver Oracle EBS mobile and backend technical solutions. The role requires strong hands-on experience in Oracle EBS technical development, MSCA/mobile personalization, PL/SQL, APIs, interfaces, reports and troubleshooting of SCM and warehouse execution transactions. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design, develop and support Oracle EBS MSCA mobile transactions, custom mobile pages and mobile-enabled business processes. 

  • Develop and enhance PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, database triggers and Oracle EBS concurrent programs. 

  • Configure and troubleshoot MSCA setups, mobile function flows, responsibilities, menus and device-related transaction issues. 

  • Develop and support Oracle EBS interfaces, conversions, extensions and reports across SCM and warehouse-related processes. 

  • Work with Oracle standard APIs for inventory, receiving, shipping, material transactions and related business events. 

  • Support technical design, unit testing, SIT, UAT, cutover, deployment and post go-live hypercare activities. 

  • Analyze production incidents, transaction errors, stuck records, interface failures and data issues across EBS modules. 

  • Prepare Technical Design Documents, unit test scripts, deployment instructions and support handover documents. 

  • Collaborate with functional teams to validate process fit, transaction behavior and business-rule implementation. 

  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, performance tuning practices, audit controls and release management processes. 

Required Skills 

  • Strong Oracle E-Business Suite R12 technical development experience. 

  • Hands-on experience in Oracle MSCA / Mobile Supply Chain Applications development, customization, personalization and troubleshooting. 

  • Strong PL/SQL, SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, XML Publisher / BI Publisher and Oracle Workflow knowledge. 

  • Experience with Oracle EBS APIs, interface tables, base tables, concurrent programs, value sets, lookups, menus and responsibilities. 

  • Working knowledge of Oracle Inventory, WMS, Purchasing, Order Management, Receiving, Shipping and related SCM flows. 

  • Experience in developing and supporting custom mobile transactions and handheld/RF device-based warehouse processes. 

  • Ability to troubleshoot mobile transaction errors, material transaction issues, interface failures and data inconsistencies. 

  • Good understanding of AOL objects, flexfields, profiles, concurrent manager and application security setup. 

  • Experience with data migration, conversion programs, SQL Loader and reconciliation reports. 

  • Strong debugging, performance tuning, documentation and communication skills. 

Preferred Skills 

  • Experience with Oracle WMS-enabled warehouses and RF scanner/mobile device transaction flows. 

  • Exposure to Oracle EBS upgrade or rollout projects. 

  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, logistics or warehouse operations domain. 

  • Knowledge of Java/JSP/OAF or custom framework integration with Oracle EBS will be an added advantage. 

  • Exposure to integrations with third-party warehouse, barcode, label printing or shipping systems. 

  • Knowledge of ITIL/AMS support processes, incident management and change management. 

Expected Deliverables 

  • Technical design documents and development specifications. 

  • Developed and unit-tested MSCA/custom technical components. 

  • Interfaces, reports, conversions and extensions as per approved scope. 

  • Unit test evidence, deployment checklist and migration instructions. 

  • SIT/UAT defect fixes and production support resolution notes. 

  • Knowledge transfer and support handover documentation. 

Education / Certification 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent experience. 

  • Oracle EBS / Oracle SCM / Oracle Database certification will be an added advantage. 

Suggested Interview Focus Areas 

  • Hands-on MSCA development and troubleshooting scenarios. 

  • Oracle Inventory/WMS transaction flow understanding. 

  • PL/SQL coding, performance tuning and Oracle EBS API usage. 

  • Experience with concurrent programs, interface tables and error handling. 

  • Production support, incident analysis and release deployment experience.
