Job description

Virgin Gifts is a leading experiential gifting company in the U.S., offering more than 5,000 unforgettable experiences, from hot air balloon rides and stock car racing to spa days, gourmet dining and city tours.

As part of Virgin Experience Days, the UK's leading experience gifting business, we're proud to combine the strength of an internationally recognised brand with the agility of a small, close-knit US team.

We're looking for an experienced Corporate Account Lead to join Virgin Gifts for Business, our B2B division. This is an exciting opportunity to help businesses across the US reward, recognise and engage their employees and customers through memorable experiences and multi-choice gift cards. Working remotely as part of our US team, you'll also collaborate closely with our experienced colleagues in the UK, giving you the support of a larger international business while enjoying the autonomy and ownership that comes with a small team.

About the role

As a Corporate Account Lead, you'll be responsible for driving revenue through both new business development and the management of existing corporate accounts. You'll build strong relationships with organisations across a wide range of industries, helping them use experiences and gift cards as part of their employee reward and recognition, customer engagement, sales incentive and corporate gifting programmes.

This is a consultative sales role where success comes from understanding each client's objectives, building lasting partnerships and identifying opportunities to grow accounts over time. Working closely with the Global Head of Sales (UK based), you'll play an important role in expanding our corporate customer base while delivering exceptional service to existing clients and continuing to grow Virgin Gifts for Business as a trusted partner for experiential gifting solutions across the US.

This is a fully remote role, with the preferred candidate based in New York.

What you'll do:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing Business Direct accounts, delivering excellent account management and consistently achieving sales targets.

  • Identify and secure new corporate customers, building a healthy pipeline of opportunities across the US.

  • Cross-sell and upsell our portfolio of experiences and Leisure Choice multi-choice gift cards.

  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers, understanding their business objectives and recommending tailored gifting solutions.

  • Educate clients on the value of experiential gifting and how our products can support employee reward and recognition, customer engagement, sales incentives and corporate gifting programmes.

  • Deliver a first-class customer experience, ensuring clients receive exceptional service throughout the sales journey.

  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline activity and customer records using CRM systems.

  • Work closely with the Head of Sales and collaborate with colleagues across the US and UK to maximise commercial opportunities.

  • Represent the Virgin brand professionally, acting as an ambassador for Virgin Gifts for Business within the B2B marketplace.

What you'll need:

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, business development or account management within the US market.
  • A consultative sales approach with a track record of winning new business and growing existing client relationships.
  • Experience working in a target-driven sales environment with responsibility for delivering commercial results.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently in a remote environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Confidence using CRM systems and managing a sales pipeline.
  • An interest in employee reward and recognition, corporate gifting or experiential products would be advantageous.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for the Virgin brand and helping clients create memorable experiences.

Perks to make work feel less ordinary:

  • Salary: $70,000 to $75,000 per year, plus uncapped commission (depending on experience).
  • Time for you: 22 days' vacation, rising to 25 days' after 5 years' service plus additional Company Holidays.
  • Freedom to work your way: All team members work on a fully remote basis
  • Wellbeing that works: Access to an award-winning employee assistance programme; 100% employer-paid medical and dental coverage for employees, with optional vision and family plans available at competitive group rates (eligibility after 60 days)
  • Future proofing you (and your finances): 401K plan with employer contribution
  • Giving back & all the anti-ordinary extras: 2 volunteer days each year; Personal re-loadable multi-choice gift card (topped up on your birthday, lifetime milestones and internal celebrations); Yearly $250 experience voucher; Discounts on experiences and across the Virgin Group; Refer a Friend bonus; and generous team celebrations throughout the year.
