Job Title: IE Java Developer
Location: Remote


Required Skills-
  • Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Hibernate, and related frameworks.
  • Proficient in front-end development using JavaScript, CSS, JSPs, and modern frameworks (React, Angular, or Bootstrap) to build responsive UIs supporting eligibility workflows and case management applications.
  • Proven experience building or supporting integrated eligibility systems (Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, or comparable).
  • Proficient in web services (REST, SOAP), XML/JSON processing, and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL). Skilled in interface and data exchange design using Java/J2EE and REST services — including defining data mappings, control points and error handling for inbound/outbound integrations.
  • Experience with enterprise application servers, specifically IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS).
  • Solid fundamentals on data structures, APIs, debugging, version control, system design concepts (scalability, reliability, security, integrations).
  • Hands-on experience with eligibility rules engines, including configuration, rule authoring, and integration with case management workflows.
  • Proficiency with Oracle Policy Automation (OPA): building and maintaining decision services, rule models, and workflows for eligibility determination logic.
  • Experience with batch processing frameworks (Spring Batch) and secure data exchange protocols. • Domain Knowledge
  • Working understanding of eligibility and case management workflows, business rules, and the state/federal Medicaid and MSP programs.
  • Ability to translate policy and program logic into technical requirements and implementation decisions.
