Base Pay Range:

$62,500-$72,500

Targeted Annual Commission:

$21,000

As an Account Manager - Corporate, your essential job functions will include the following:

Account Management

  • Serve as a day to day key relationship manager between Dealer Tire and assigned Dealers primarily via telephone and web based communications
  • Create and leverage OEM and Dealer relationships to manage, support, and grow the OEM Tire and light maintenance programs
  • Research, develop and recommend high impact business plans and strategies with Dealer decision makers, and guide them in managing these plans to maximize the benefits of the OEM Tire and light maintenance programs in order to increase Dealer sales and drive customer loyalty, including:
    • Inventory planning and management strategies and recommendations;
    • Best industry practices recommendations;
    • New product development updates
    • Identifying and reacting to competitive threats, trends, and issues
    • Pricing and promotion strategies
  • Strategically manage and resolve customer relations issues relating to any Metro Center and Distribution Center activity affecting assigned Dealers
  • Meet internal and external productivity goals

Marketing/Promotion

  • Guide Dealers in developing and implementing pricing, marketing, and promotion strategies/plans
  • Use knowledge, experience, Dealer Tire proprietary tools, third party promotional resources and marketing support, to assist Dealers in the maintenance and updating of their pricing, marketing, and promotion strategies/plans. Tools and resources may include:
    • Retail selling guides (DRSG)
    • Special promotion materials
    • Point of Purchase availability and usage
    • OEM and Supplier promotional funding
    • Dealer Tire training programs (onsite and web-based)

Direct and Indirect Business Development

  • Identify qualifying, potential new Dealers for on and off program participation
  • Make significant contacts and presentations to decision makers, via web-x tutorial, to ensure dealership alignment with Dealer Tire program
  • Identify new business opportunities for Dealer Tire and assigned Dealers through alliance partner field contacts
  • Develop account strategies to increase revenues and improve customer loyalty

Position Requirements

  • Meet objectives as it pertains to dealer communications, presentations, and training sessions
  • Keep accurate and timely internal records of key contacts and other related activities
  • Provide feedback and strategic information to the Management team
  • Submit timely contact reports and forecast reports to leadership, as required
  • Maintain contacts across departments within Dealer Tire in order to ensure maximum success
  • Complete administrative documents, including order and inventory adjustment documents, as needed

Physical Job Requirements

  • Sitting for long periods of time
  • Continuous viewing and inputting data to a computer screen
  • Talking on the telephone for long periods of time
  •  Limited travel, as needed

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The total compensation package may also include commission, bonus or profit sharing.
