SharePoint Administrator / Developer (On‐Prem to SharePoint Online Migrations)
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Administrator / Developer to support, modernize, and migrate enterprise SharePoint platforms from SharePoint On‐Premises to SharePoint Online. This role plays a critical part in enabling collaboration, content management, and digital workplace transformation across the organization.
About the Role
This position is responsible for the design, administration, development, and migration of SharePoint environments. You will work closely with infrastructure, security, application, and business teams to ensure a secure, scalable, and user‐friendly SharePoint Online platform, while decommissioning legacy on‐premises solutions.
The role has a strong focus on migration execution, platform modernization, governance, and ongoing operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support SharePoint On‐Premises (2013/2016/2019) and SharePoint Online environments, including site collections, permissions, storage, and service configurations
- Design and execute On‐Prem to SharePoint Online migration strategies, including content assessment, remediation, and cutover planning
- Perform migrations using supported tools (e.g. SharePoint Migration Tool, ShareGate, or equivalent enterprise tooling)
- Develop and enhance SharePoint solutions using:
- Modern SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
- PowerShell automation
- Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) integration
- Modernize legacy SharePoint sites, workflows, and customizations into Modern SharePoint Online architectures
- Implement and enforce governance, information architecture, and lifecycle management practices
- Partner with security and compliance teams to ensure alignment with data protection, retention, and access control requirements
- Provide Level 3 support and troubleshooting for SharePoint-related incidents and performance issues
- Produce clear technical documentation covering architecture, migration plans, and operational processes
- Support adoption initiatives and provide guidance to end users and business stakeholders
What You Will Bring to the Role
Essential Skills & Experience
- 5+ Years hands-on experience administering SharePoint On‐Premises and SharePoint Online
- Proven experience delivering On‐Prem to SharePoint Online migrations in enterprise environments
- Solid understanding of SharePoint architecture, service applications, and authentication models
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for administration and migration tasks
- Knowledge of modern SharePoint development, including SPFx and REST APIs
- Practical experience working with Microsoft 365 services (Entra ID/Azure AD, Teams, OneDrive)
Desirable Skills
- Experience with ShareGate, SPMT, or similar migration tools
- Familiarity with records management, retention labels, and compliance features
- Power Platform development experience (Power Apps / Power Automate)
- Background working in regulated or security‐conscious enterprise environments
- Experience contributing to platform governance and operating models
