Responsibilities
- Lead the full delivery of AI and machine learning projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are achieved.
- Run and mentor delivery teams, providing clear direction, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, risk registers, and delivery roadmaps using appropriate methodologies.
- Engage with senior collaborators and clients to understand requirements, lead expectations, and communicate progress and outcomes.
- Analyse project performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve delivery efficiency.
- Coordinate prioritisation, capacity planning, and team composition to optimise project outcomes.
- Identify and mitigate risks proactively, developing contingency plans and protocols for blocking issues.
- Champion guidelines in AI delivery, governance, and ethical implementation across the organisation.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure architectural decisions align with business objectives and delivery constraints.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and capability building within the delivery function.
Qualifications
- Consistent track record in leading AI and machine learning projects to completion in corporate environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in delivery management frameworks and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches).
- Strong people management and team leadership capabilities with experience building and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent collaborator management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at all interpersonal levels.
- Technical understanding of AI/ML concepts, tools, and implementation challenges.
- Experience in budget management, resource planning, and cost control.
- Analytical approach with strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of AI governance frameworks and responsible AI practices.
- Experience delivering large-scale, complex AI implementations across multiple business units.
- Vendor and third-party management experience.
- Expertise in guiding organisational transformation and experience supporting teams through transitions.
- Familiarity with emerging AI technologies and industry trends.
- Experience in regulated industries or compliance-heavy environments.
