The Ward Coordinator will coordinate implementation of malaria elimination activities at ward level, facilitate collaboration with municipal health teams, supervise field activities, ensure timely surveillance and reporting, and support implementation of ward-specific malaria operational plans.
Duty Station: Assigned Intervention Ward, Greater Mumbai
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate project implementation within assigned ward.
Support active case detection and fever surveillance.
Coordinate public and private healthcare providers for malaria case reporting.
Monitor implementation of ward operational plans.
Facilitate timely diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of malaria cases.
Support implementation of G6PD testing and radical cure activities.
Coordinate GIS mapping and hotspot investigations.
Supervise frontline workers and field teams.
Organize community awareness activities targeting migrant populations, construction workers, and vulnerable communities.
Conduct supportive supervision visits.
Ensure timely submission of surveillance and programme reports.
Participate in monthly programme review meetings.
Identify implementation bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Life Sciences, Nursing, Social Sciences, or related discipline. A Master's degree is desirable.
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in public health programme implementation.
Experience in communicable disease programmes is preferred.
Experience coordinating field teams and community-based interventions.
Experience working with municipal health systems is desirable.
