Independent Contractor – CPT-11291 Social Media Assistant/Marketing VA/Junior-Senior Level (Remote).

Overview

20four7VA is seeking offshore independent contractors to deliver remote services to clients worldwide, with a primary focus on developed markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.

This company is a dynamic digital marketing agency committed to delivering measurable results through data-driven strategies and innovative digital marketing solutions. We partner with businesses across various industries to strengthen their online presence through search engine optimization, paid advertising, and strategic social media management.

We are seeking a creative, organized, and client-focused Social Media Assistant to support our growing portfolio of clients. This is a client-facing role, so we're looking for someone who is confident, communicates professionally, and can articulate themselves well when interacting with clients.

The ideal candidate is passionate about social media, eager to learn, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple client accounts in a fast-paced agency environment. They will work closely with the Social Media Manager to execute content strategies, engage online communities, monitor campaign performance, and help clients achieve their marketing goals.

The objective of each engagement is to assist the client in improving business efficiency, enhancing service delivery, or supporting operational functions through high-quality, task-specific services rendered by a qualified contractor.

Scope of Services

Contractors will be required to provide services that align with the following client tasks:

Content Planning & Campaign Support

  • Assist the Social Media Manager in brainstorming, developing, and executing social media campaigns for multiple clients.
  • Help create and maintain content calendars aligned with each client's marketing objectives.
  • Coordinate content requests and organize creative assets.
  • Ensure content aligns with each client's brand voice and messaging.

Content Creation & Scheduling

  • Create engaging social media content, including text, images, graphics, and short-form videos.
  • Schedule and publish content across major social media platforms, including:
    • Facebook
    • Instagram
    • LinkedIn
    • X (Twitter)
    • Other client platforms as needed
  • Utilize Canva and other design tools to produce visually appealing content.
  • Assist with basic video editing and formatting for social media.

Community Management

  • Monitor client social media accounts daily.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to comments, direct messages, mentions, and reposts.
  • Engage with online communities while maintaining each client's brand voice.
  • Escalate customer concerns or sensitive inquiries when appropriate.
  • Build positive relationships with followers and online communities.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track social media performance using native platform analytics and social media management tools.
  • Monitor audience growth, engagement, reach, impressions, and other key performance metrics.
  • Prepare recurring client reports summarizing campaign performance and insights.
  • Provide recommendations for content and campaign improvements.

Trend Research & Platform Optimization

  • Stay current on social media trends, algorithm updates, and platform best practices.
  • Research new content ideas and industry trends.
  • Optimize posts using appropriate hashtags, keywords, geotags, and platform-specific best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve content visibility and audience engagement.

Administrative Support

  • Organize client assets, creative files, and social media resources.
  • Assist with maintaining organized project documentation.
  • Support the preparation of client presentations and reports.
  • Help coordinate internal marketing projects and administrative tasks.

Client Communication

  • Communicate professionally with clients regarding content updates, approvals, and project timelines.
  • Participate in client meetings when needed.
  • Maintain a professional and positive client experience through clear and timely communication.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients while representing the agency professionally.


    Each engagement is based on a defined scope of work and is governed by an independent contractor agreement. Services must be performed professionally, with adherence to any timelines, guidelines, and deliverables agreed upon in writing.


    Skills

    The Contractor must demonstrate proficiency in the following, depending on the Client’s requirements:

    • Excellent knowledge of major social media platforms and current best practices.
    • Minimum of 6 months of internship or professional experience in social media marketing, digital marketing, or an agency environment preferred.
    • Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills.
    • Strong grammar, proofreading, and attention to detail.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines simultaneously.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with confidence communicating directly with clients.
    • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced remote environment.
    • Eagerness to learn and adapt to changing digital marketing trends.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience working in a digital marketing agency.
    • Experience using social media management platforms such as:
      • Hootsuite
      • Sprout Social
      • HubSpot
      • Meta Business Suite
    • Experience creating graphics using Canva.
    • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
    • Basic video editing experience using Canva, Google Vids, CapCut, or similar tools.
    • Comfortable using AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar platforms.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
    • Degree (or current enrollment) in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Social Media, or a related field preferred.

    Work Schedule

    • Daily Working Time: TBD EST

    Note: The Company will make reasonable efforts to align the Assigned VA’s schedule with the Client’s preferred hours as set forth above. However, availability may vary based on time zones, capacity, and the contracted hours set in this SOW. Any changes must be mutually agreed to in writing through a revised SOW.

    Terms of Engagement

    • Contractors will operate under a Master Services Agreement and a Statement of Work
    • This is not an offer of employment; contractors are not employees of 20four7VA or any client
    • All compensation is processed through 20four7VA according to the terms of the engagement
