Must Have:

• OPS architecture and design experience
• Documents and designs 'as is' state of solution architecture and prepares and presents solution blueprint requirements/design using MS Visio.
• Undertakes and/or leads in-depth and complex technical architecture reviews and assessments, development and/or support projects, to support new and changed enterprise priorities and initiatives, and client clusters' and their clients' technical architecture and/or business needs.
• Completes required corporate architecture documentation to meet governance points

Job Description:

Provides technical information architecture and solution design expertise, and undertakes comprehensive architecture needs assessments and complex reviews in support of systems/infrastructure needs for OPS clients (i.e. I&IT clusters, their clients and enterprise I&IT organizations). To prepare and advise on technical architecture plus solution design. To participate in enterprise-wide and cross-jurisdictional architecture projects with technical components. Documents Solution Architecture documentation and meets standard Zachman Framework and OPS Enterprise Architecture artifacts. Prepares and presents solution blueprints for provisioning of infrastructure and ensures delivery of quality infrastructure. Understands in-depth on-premise hosting environments as well as cloud.

Major Responsibilities:

• Documents and designs 'as is' state of solution architecture and prepares and presents solution blueprint requirements/design using MS Visio.
• Undertakes and/or leads in-depth and complex technical architecture reviews and assessments, development and/or support projects, to support new and changed enterprise priorities and initiatives, and client clusters' and their clients' technical architecture and/or business needs.
• Completes required corporate architecture documentation to meet governance points
• Ensures integration with related corporate and client cluster policies and standards, and incorporation of best practices in the industry.
• Provides guidance to infrastructure delivery on infrastructure requirements including networking.
• Leads and or/participates in highly sensitive technical architecture investigations.
• Develops technical architecture specifications for service providers and vendors.
• Ensures detailed technical information is documented for deployment and support purposes.
• Works closely with technical specialists on the team to ensure architecture and design is adhered too.
• Oversees provisioning of infrastructure with internal service provider
• Works with application owners to determine solution architecture needs if necessary
• Communicates effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
• OPS architecture and design experience
