Online Teacher (Spanish & English Speaking)

About the Role

This is not a traditional classroom teaching role. Teachers provide short-form, live academic assistance to English-speaking students who are studying Spanish. Sessions are typically around 10 minutes long and focus on direct, snapshot-style support.

Students may require assistance with:

  • Spanish grammar and writing
  • Reading and comprehension support
  • AP-level and advanced subject matter knowledge
  • Homework clarification and essay support

If a student requires extensive intervention or ongoing academic support, they are referred back to their primary educator.

Applicants must have:

  • A completed tertiary qualification/bachelor's degree
  • Exceptionally strong knowledge across Spanish disciplines and levels
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English
  • The ability to think quickly and explain concepts clearly in real time
  • Strong verbal communication skills

Working Hours

  • Monday - Friday 08:00-00:00 EST
  • Saturday 09:00-19:00 ET
  • Sunday 18:00-00:00 ET

Compensation

  • Approximate monthly earning potential: 6.25 USD

Technical Requirements

Computer

  • Intelยฎ Coreโ„ข i5 processor (or equivalent) running at 2.40GHz or higher.
  • Minimum 8GB RAM.

Internet

  • Reliable fibre internet connection with minimum 20 Mbps upload and download speeds.
  • Wired LAN connection required.

Power Backup

  • UPS or alternative backup power solution capable of supporting equipment for 4โ€“5 hours is highly recommended.

Teaching Equipment

  • Noise-cancelling headset with microphone.
  • HD webcam (720p or higher).
  • Quiet, professional, and well-lit teaching environment suitable for online instruction.
