Work includes site selection and engineering, construction, environmental and fire/life safety, equipment installation and testing, drafting, contract surveillance, and other technical services as required. Work is performed across the nation in each of the FAA’s nine regions, as well as the Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and several U.S. territories.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide leadership and day-to-day coordination for assigned field engineers, electricians, electronics technicians, electronics installers, subcontractors, and other field personnel.
  • Manage assigned blocks of field work across regions, work areas, projects, or program initiatives to ensure installation activities are properly planned, staffed, executed, documented, and closed out.
  • Assign field staff to installation and site preparation activities based on project needs, schedule requirements, personnel qualifications, training, and availability.
  • Ensure field personnel are trained, prepared, equipped, and properly briefed before performing assigned work.
  • Monitor field execution progress against approved schedules, scopes of work, technical requirements, safety requirements, quality expectations, and customer commitments.
  • Review engineering drawings, installation packages, scopes of work, site documentation, and other technical materials to confirm installation clarity and execution readiness.
  • Develop or support project-specific execution plans, implementation plans, staffing plans, site readiness plans, and installation approaches.
  • Interface with internal program teams, project managers, engineers, FAA stakeholders, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to determine the most effective approach for field project delivery.
  • Prepare project-specific Risk Management Plans and related field planning materials to identify and mitigate safety, quality, schedule, technical, logistical, and operational risks.
  • Anticipate installation challenges and work with clients, engineers, subcontractors, field staff, project managers, and program leadership to identify and implement corrective actions.
  • Promote technical excellence and field quality through the application of Parsons quality assurance processes, installation standards, documentation requirements, and lessons learned.
  • Coordinate with FAA customers and other government authorities as required to support site access, security requirements, operational coordination, and field work execution.
  • Attend and lead site readiness meetings, installation kickoff meetings, field coordination meetings, weekly field staff meetings, and project status reviews.
  • Make periodic trips to field sites during installation work to verify project scope, safety, quality, staffing, schedule, and execution requirements are being met.
  • Develop regional, project-specific, and national-level status reports covering field execution progress, risks, staffing, schedule performance, issues, and upcoming work.
  • Support preparation and submission of installation deliverables, field reports, completion documentation, and customer correspondence.
  • Assist Program Management and Project Management with budget tracking, schedule monitoring, scope management, change order support, and analysis of field execution impacts.
  • Monitor field staff timekeeping, travel voucher costs, field labor charging, and related administrative requirements for assigned personnel.
  • Actively promote and enforce safety policies and ensure safety is integrated into planning, field execution, and installation jobsite monitoring.
