How you will contribute
- Contribute to the development, documentation, and ongoing update of accounting policies and internal procedures, ensuring alignment with NBR, Ministry of Finance, and Erste Group requirements;
- Review and validate the bank’s internal procedures from an accounting perspective, ensuring their correct and consistent application;
- Monitor legislative changes with accounting impact and ensure their timely and accurate implementation across the organization;
- Define accounting treatments and develop accounting schemes for the bank’s products, services, and transactions, supporting their implementation in systems;
- Initiate change requests and collaborate on the implementation or update of products and accounting flows in IT systems;
- Provide accounting support and advisory in internal projects and collaborate with relevant teams and authorities to clarify and improve the accounting framework.
What will help you be successful
- University degree in economics, with a specialization in accounting or audit;
- Experience in financial accounting or accounting methodology (experience in banking/financial services is a plus);
- Solid knowledge of local accounting regulations and IFRS standards;
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a structured approach;
- Advanced Excel skills and solid exposure to accounting systems;
- Good communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams;
- Experience in projects or implementations of accounting systems/flows will help you ramp up faster;
- Strong focus on compliance, operational risk, and adherence to internal regulations.
