Job description

Overview:

LMI is seeking an Enterprise Platform Security Manager to lead the security strategy, governance, and operational execution for enterprise platforms supporting mission-critical capabilities across the Department of Defense and United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). This leader will drive security across cloud-native platforms, enterprise applications, AI workloads, and modern software delivery pipelines while enabling rapid innovation and mission success.

LMI is a new breed of digital solutions provider dedicated to accelerating government impact with innovation and speed. Investing in technology and prototypes ahead of need, LMI brings commercial-grade platforms and mission-ready AI to federal agencies at commercial speed.

Leveraging our mission-ready technology and solutions, proven expertise in federal deployment, and strategic relationships, we enhance outcomes for the government, efficiently and effectively. With a focus on agility and collaboration, LMI serves the defense, space, healthcare, and energy sectors—helping agencies navigate complexity and outpace change. Headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, LMI is committed to delivering impactful results that strengthen missions and drive lasting value.

This position requires an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities:

As the Enterprise Platform Security Manager, you will establish and lead the security program for enterprise platforms supporting cloud infrastructure, collaboration environments, DevSecOps pipelines, enterprise applications, AI services, and hybrid environments. You will serve as the technical and strategic leader responsible for ensuring security is integrated into every phase of the platform lifecycle while enabling rapid delivery of mission capabilities.

You will develop enterprise security strategies aligned to Zero Trust principles and oversee implementation of security controls across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 GCC High, AWS, hybrid infrastructure, and containerized environments. You will partner closely with engineering, platform, operations, compliance, and program leadership to ensure security enables—not slows—innovation.

You will lead security governance activities including risk assessments, architecture reviews, vulnerability management, incident response coordination, compliance reporting, and continuous monitoring. You will oversee Authorization to Operate (ATO) efforts under the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and ensure enterprise platforms remain compliant with evolving DoD cybersecurity requirements.

You will provide technical leadership for identity and access management, privileged access management, endpoint security, cloud security posture management, data protection, SIEM, EDR, and security automation initiatives. You will identify emerging threats, evaluate new technologies, and continuously improve the organization's security posture through measurable risk reduction.

You proactively solve complex organizational and technical challenges with minimal direction while balancing mission delivery, operational efficiency, and cybersecurity risk. You thrive in fast-paced environments where collaboration, innovation, and ownership are expected.
