Job description

About OpenLoop

OpenLoop was co-founded by CEO, Dr. Jon Lensing, and COO, Christian Williams, with the vision to bring care anywhere. Our telehealth support solutions are thoughtfully designed to streamline and simplify go-to-market care delivery for companies offering meaningful virtual support to patients across an expansive array of specialties, in all 50 states.

About the Role

OpenLoop is scaling its product organization and looking for a Director of Product who combines sharp strategic thinking with deep, hands-on execution. You will own the entire product roadmap, lead and grow the PM team, and partner closely with engineering directors and design to ship products that transform how healthcare is delivered at scale. This is not a purely strategic seat—everyone in our leadership is in the weeds, and we expect the same from you.

What You'll Do

Lead the PM organization, with all product managers reporting and designers reporting to you.

  • Own and communicate the product roadmap, timelines, and resource allocation across 7–8 cross-functional pods.

  • Oversee all product lines

  • Serve as the primary product representative to senior leadership

  • Partner closely with incoming engineering directors and engineering managers to align roadmaps and delivery.

  • Write roadmaps, design docs, and PRDs directly—our leaders are makers, not just managers.

  • Drive AI adoption across the PM team: every PM should have a proper AI workflow, and no PRD should be written from scratch.

  • Push back on leadership, when you believe the roadmap needs to change, backed by data and clear reasoning.

  • Champion bottom-up product development in addition to executing top-down priorities.

  • AI is embedded in everything we do. The right candidate will be genuinely excited to talk about their personal and professional AI setup at length.

Who You Are

  • Strong opinions, held loosely: you'll argue your position, but pivot quickly once a decision is made and execute with full commitment.

  • Hard on execution—you hold yourself and your team to high delivery standards.

  • Comfortable doing hard pushbacks to senior leadership; you ask 'why' often and proactively.

  • A bottom-up builder: you generate product initiative from the ground up, not only from strategic directives.

  • A hands-on driver who writes PRDs and takes products end-to-end rather than delegating the details.

  • B2B platform experience, especially around data pipelines and AI-powered tooling.

Preferred Qualifications

  • E-commerce with a strong customer-service dimension our business is essentially e-commerce plus customer service.

  • Fintech startups, where rigorous platform thinking and fast iteration are table stakes.

  • Engineering-to-product career path—being able to dive into code alongside your team is a genuine advantage here.

  • Data analytics, BI, or product analyst background, which builds strong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.

  • Consulting background, which often produces the organizational management, strategy, and roadmap skills this role demands.

Our Benefits

In addition, for salaried positions you would also be eligible for:

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision plans

  • Flexible Spending/Health Savings Accounts

  • Flexible PTO

  • 401(k) + Company Match

  • Life Insurance, Pet insurance, and more
