We’re looking for a Lead Software Engineer to help accelerate the development and deployment of Comet at our newest manufacturing site in Ciudad Juárez. This role will be a key engineering presence at the site, working directly with plant customers and collaborating with globally distributed software engineering teams to support the successful delivery, adoption, and operation of the Comet platform.

  • Help coordinate work across teams when issues or initiatives span multiple parts of the Comet platform.
  • Promote software engineering practices that improve the reliability, maintainability, observability, and operational readiness of Comet.
  • Strengthen collaboration between manufacturing and engineering teams by communicating clearly, sharing context, and building trusted working relationships.
  • Mentor engineers through design discussions, code reviews, troubleshooting, and day-to-day technical guidance.
  • Participate in production support and help improve the tools, documentation, and processes used to operate Comet effectively.
  • Travel frequently to and work on-site in Ciudad Juárez, beginning at approximately 50% and expected to vary between 25% and 40% in steady state.
