Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking an Associate Product Manager to support product delivery, operational effectiveness, and cross-functional coordination across our product organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving operational challenges, improving workflows, and helping teams deliver high-quality product experiences at scale.

The APM will partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Support, Operations, and other internal stakeholders to improve product rollout readiness, improve launch quality and downstream operational outcomes, identify process inefficiencies, coordinate internal product communication, and support operational product initiatives. This role will also help drive internal tooling and workflow improvement efforts that improve scalability and organizational efficiency.

This is not a traditional roadmap ownership role focused primarily on customer-facing feature prioritization. Instead, this role focuses on improving how products are delivered, adopted, communicated, and operationalized across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Product Delivery & Rollout Readiness

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Support, and Operations teams to validate workflows and improve launch quality
  • Support product launches and releases by coordinating readiness activities across teams
  • Identify operational risks, edge cases, downstream impacts, and process gaps prior to release
  • Assist with release validation, issue tracking, and user acceptance testing activities when needed
  • Help improve release processes, documentation standards, and operational handoffs
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement across product delivery, communication, and operational workflows

Cross-Functional Product Coordination

  • Serve as a connective point between Product, Engineering, Support, Operations, and other business teams
  • Help improve visibility into current initiatives, product capabilities, and upcoming releases
  • Coordinate communication related to product changes, operational impacts, and internal enablement
  • Gather and synthesize feedback from internal stakeholders to identify recurring friction points and improvement opportunities

Operational Product Improvements

  • Help identify opportunities to improve internal tooling, workflows, and operational processes
  • Support roadmap initiatives related to internal systems, process optimization, and operational scalability
  • Independently coordinate and drive smaller-scale operational and workflow improvement initiatives
  • Partner with stakeholders to improve efficiency across product delivery and support workflows
  • Explore opportunities for automation and AI-assisted workflow improvements

Product Support & Organization

  • Partner with Product Managers to maintain clarity, alignment, and operational follow-through across initiatives
  • Review and organize enhancement requests, operational feedback, and reported issues
  • Help maintain clarity and alignment within project management and tracking systems
  • Support ongoing product operations and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience in product management, product operations, business analysis, software support, project coordination, or related roles
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and work cross-functionally in a collaborative environment
  • Comfortable balancing operational coordination with strategic process improvement
  • Strong problem-solving and systems-thinking mindset

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development environments
  • Experience using project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Linear, Confluence, Zendesk, or similar platforms
  • Experience coordinating software releases, testing activities, or operational workflows
  • Ability to identify patterns, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement
  • Interest in AI tools, workflow automation, and operational scalability
  • Basic technical understanding of APIs, databases, or web applications is a plus

What Success Looks Like

  • Product launches are higher quality, more operationally prepared, and experience fewer downstream issues
  • Internal teams have improved visibility into product changes and capabilities
  • Operational inefficiencies and workflow bottlenecks are proactively identified and improved
  • Cross-functional communication becomes more streamlined and effective
  • Internal tooling and process improvements help the organization scale more efficiently
  • Smaller operational and workflow improvement initiatives are successfully coordinated and delivered
