Job Description:

NetImpact Strategies is seeking a Functional Associate (AI Focus) to join our delivery team supporting Federal clients. This role works closely with Functional Leads, Technical Architects, Product Managers, and software developers to help translate business needs into functional requirements for AI-enabled modernization initiatives.

The ideal candidate has experience gathering requirements, documenting business processes, supporting Agile delivery teams, and working with AI-assisted development tools. They are naturally curious, organized, collaborative, and eager to learn emerging AI technologies while helping deliver innovative solutions for Federal customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support requirements gathering sessions with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Document functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business process flows.
  • Assist Functional Leads with backlog management and Agile ceremonies.
  • Work closely with developers, architects, and QA to clarify requirements and support implementation.
  • Help configure and validate AI-enabled business workflows and application functionality.
  • Assist with process mapping, workflow analysis, and documentation.
  • Participate in solution demonstrations, sprint reviews, and customer meetings.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), test planning, and issue resolution.
  • Develop functional documentation, user guides, and training materials.
  • Use AI tools to improve documentation quality, analysis, and productivity.
  • Continuously learn new technologies, AI capabilities, and Federal business processes.
Qualifications:

Required 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or similar technologies to improve productivity.
  • U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Federal Government IT projects.
  • Prior software development, QA, or technical support experience.
  • Experience supporting cloud or AI-enabled applications.
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering or AI-assisted business analysis.
  • Experience with Visio, Lucidchart, or other process modeling tools.
