Job description

Company Description

We’re looking for kind, reliable Care Assistants to support older adults across New Romney and surrounding areas.

You’ll be required to work Mornings (07:00-14:00) and/or Evenings (16:00-21:00) and alternate Weekends.

If you have a caring heart and a friendly smile, you can make someone’s day — from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave.

At Home Instead, we focus on quality care, offering both companionship and personal support so clients can live safely, comfortably and with dignity.

Job Description

Care as it should be — unhurried, personal, rewarding!.

At Home Instead, we give you the time to make a difference. Our visits are at least an hour long, so you can focus on what matters — helping someone feel safe, comfortable and valued.

  • Preparing meals and hot drinks
  • Light household tasks to keep their home safe and comfortable
  • Companionship, conversation and a friendly face
  • Some visits may include more personal health-related support — we provide full paid training for all of this, so no experience or medical background is needed

No Experience? No Problem!

You don’t need previous care experience — we’ll train, support, and cheer you on from day one.

We’re looking for people with the right values and attitude. For example:

  • Have you cared for a loved one or supported a family member?
  • Are you someone who can chat easily and make others feel at ease?
  • Do you enjoy helping people and making a difference in someone’s day?

If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.

Hours:

Hours will vary whilst we build our client base, with a mix of:

  • Morning shifts: 07:00–14:00
  • Afternoon shifts: 14:00–21:00
  • Alternate weekends required

This is a great opportunity if you’re looking to be part of something new, growing, and exciting.

Why You’ll Love Working With Us

  • £14.25–£15.70 per hour + 35p per mile
  • We'll fund your full training and Care Certificate, so you're confident and ready from day one.
  • Birthday gifts and staff appreciation rewards
  • Wellbeing & Mental Health support
  • You'll receive a pension scheme and paid holidays as part of your employment with us.
  • Staff discounts and annual team events
  • Real career progression – we'll support you to grow
