Job description

This is a remote position.

We are building a category-defining platform that operates at scale and demands high engineering rigor. The product sits at the intersection of real-time data, complex systems, and critical user workflows—where performance, reliability, and clarity are non-negotiable.

We are hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer who wants to operate in a high-trust, high-ownership environment. This is not a role for someone looking to simply execute tickets—you will be expected to take problems from ambiguity to production, influence technical direction within your domain, and ship systems that matter.

You will work across the stack, with a strong focus on backend architecture and API design, while maintaining a sharp eye for product quality and user experience.

  • Architect and deliver scalable systems and APIs that power core product functionality.

  • Take full ownership of features, from problem definition through design, implementation, and iteration.

  • Drive technical decisions within your scope, balancing speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.

  • Partner directly with product and business stakeholders to shape solutions—not just implement them.

  • Build shared infrastructure and services used across multiple teams.

  • Raise the bar on code quality, system design, and engineering standards.

Environment

The team is composed of high-performing engineers who are trusted to lead within their scope. There is minimal bureaucracy and a strong bias toward action.

Work is structured in short cycles, but expectations are outcome-driven, not process-driven. Engineers are expected to step up, take initiative, and deliver meaningful results.

The team is distributed across North America with a consistent daily overlap window for collaboration.

An on-call rotation (~every 4–6 weeks) is part of the role, covering both system alerts and internal support channels.

Stack

  • Frontend: React, TypeScript

  • Backend: TypeScript (primary), with Python and Go in the ecosystem

  • Systems: Distributed, service-oriented architecture

  • Data: PostgreSQL and large-scale analytical systems; strong data modeling expected

  • Infrastructure: GCP, CI/CD pipelines, containers; Kubernetes is a plus
