· Ensure alignment with CMS Technical Reference Architecture (TRA) and enterprise guidelines
· Provide architectural oversight for key platform components, including provider workflows, data ingestion, and reporting systems
· Design and validate complex solutions across Apex services and asynchronous processing patterns, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Salesforce Flows and platform automation
· Support and troubleshoot complex cross-system issues spanning Salesforce, AWS, and integrations
· Ensure solutions are optimized for performance, scalability, and maintainability
· Lead integration design across Salesforce and AWS services (S3, Lambda, etc.), Middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft), and External systems of record
· Define data flow patterns and ensure clear system-of-record boundaries
· Ensure data consistency, traceability, and alignment with analytics platforms (e.g. Databricks)
· Partner with product and engineering teams to ensure architecture is effectively implemented in delivery
· Review technical designs, code, and implementations for adherence to standards
· Identify and mitigate technical risks across teams and releases, including managing change
· Drive improvements in DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing
· Serve as a key technical liaison between CMS stakeholders, Product management, and Engineering teams
· Communicate architecture decisions, tradeoffs, and risks in a clear and actionable manner
· Support program-level ownership and decision-making with strategic planning and technical roadmap development
· Mentor engineers and technical leads across teams
· Promote best practices in system design, development, and testing
· Drive a culture of ownership, accountability, and technical excellence
· Staying up-to-date on Salesforce trends, releases, new features, and product roadmaps
· Promoting cross-team collaborations and disseminating information through knowledge sharing sessions, communities of practice, etc.
· Promoting and enforcing an automation-first approach to reduce manual configurations within the Salesforce platform using custom Apex scripts, Robotic Process Automation, etc.
· Supporting hiring efforts for the program, including conducting resume screens, technical interviews, and culture-and-values assessments
