Role Summary

Anovia is looking for a motivated and technically skilled T2 Systems & Server Engineer to join our growing infrastructure support team. Working remotely as part of a distributed operations team, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering Windows server infrastructure across multiple client environments. You will handle escalated issues from the Level 1 team, perform routine server administration, support virtualization platforms, manage Microsoft infrastructure services, and ensure customers receive timely and high-quality technical support.

The ideal candidate brings 3โ€“5 years of hands-on experience supporting Windows Server environments within an MSP or enterprise IT environment. You should possess strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer communication, and the ability to independently resolve infrastructure issues while collaborating with senior engineers on more complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 2 support for Windows Server infrastructure across multiple customer environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated incidents from Level 1 engineers within SLA.
  • Administer and support Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Group Policy, and NTFS permissions.
  • Create, modify, and manage user accounts, security groups, shared folders, and file permissions.
  • Monitor server health, storage utilization, system performance, and critical infrastructure alerts.
  • Perform routine server maintenance, patching, firmware updates, and scheduled health checks.
  • Support VMware and Hyper-V environments by provisioning and administering virtual machines.
  • Assist with backup monitoring, troubleshooting, restore requests, and disaster recovery testing.
  • Support Microsoft 365 administration including Exchange Online, Entra ID (Azure AD), licensing, and mailbox administration.
  • Assist with Azure virtual machines, storage, networking, and monitoring.
  • Document troubleshooting procedures and root cause analysis.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and after-hours maintenance when required.
  • Escalate complex issues to Level 3 engineers with complete technical documentation.
  • Follow ITIL Incident, Change, Problem, and Request Management processes.
  • Execute additional tasks assigned by leadership.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3โ€“5 years supporting Windows Server environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Group Policy, and NTFS permissions.
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
  • Experience supporting VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Knowledge of backup solutions such as Veeam, Datto, or Acronis.
  • Understanding of SAN/NAS storage, RAID, and iSCSI.
  • Basic networking knowledge including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching, and firewalls.
  • Experience with MSP environments and RMM tools such as ConnectWise RMM.
  • Basic PowerShell scripting and strong troubleshooting skills.
