Project – the aim you’ll have
You will join a Shared Services infrastructure team supporting enterprise IT environments. The team is responsible for maintaining and improving Linux-based systems, supporting daily operations, handling incidents and service requests, and helping keep the infrastructure stable, secure, and well-documented.
As an intern, your main goal will be to learn how professional infrastructure operations work in practice and support the team in selected Linux administration tasks under the guidance of experienced engineers.
Position – how you’ll contribute
You will support the team in day-to-day Linux operations, including basic troubleshooting, system checks, documentation updates, and operational tasks related to servers and services.
You may help with activities such as checking system status, analyzing logs, preparing simple scripts, supporting patching activities, updating runbooks and procedures, and assisting engineers during incident resolution or maintenance windows.
You will not be expected to work independently from day one. The role is designed for someone who wants to grow into a Linux/System Administrator or Infrastructure Engineer role.
Expectations – the experience you need
We are looking for someone with a basic understanding of Linux and a strong willingness to learn.
You should know the basics of working with the Linux command line, understand simple system concepts such as users, permissions, services, processes, networking, and filesystems, and be comfortable reading technical documentation.
Basic knowledge of Bash scripting, SSH, package management, and troubleshooting would be a plus. Any experience with virtual machines, monitoring tools, automation, cloud platforms, or IT operations will also be valuable, but is not required.
Most importantly, we expect curiosity, reliability, attention to detail, and good communication skills. You should be ready to ask questions, document your work, and learn from more experienced team members.
