Job Summary
Serve as a team lead while assisting with the preparation, seasoning, and cooking of a variety of food items, including meats, vegetables, soups, and breakfast dishes.
Support efficient kitchen operations and ensure quality standards are maintained across all meals.

Essential Functions
- Receive food ingredients and supplies from the main kitchen and pantry to support daily operations
- Review production schedules to determine food quantities, menu variety, and required supplies and equipment
- Prepare and present a wide range of food items—including vegetables, fruits, meats, soups, salads, cereals, and simple baked goods—using various cooking methods and standardized recipes
- Monitor food quality throughout preparation to ensure taste, appearance, and consistency standards are met
- Complete production sheets and maintain accurate records as required
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, utensils, and equipment in accordance with sanitation standards
- Support catering needs for special events as assigned
- Identify and address issues with food quality, supplies, or equipment; remove or report spoiled or defective items
- Prepare special diets in accordance with prescribed dietary guidelines
- Track inventory levels and assist with ordering and stocking supplies
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to gather and analyze data, compile information, and prepare reports
- Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning supplies
- Skill in preparing and baking a variety of pastries, breads, and other baked goods
- Experience cooking and preparing a wide range of food items
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, presentation methods, and quality standards
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Ability to receive, inspect, and manage incoming goods and supplies
- Knowledge of inventory control, supply ordering, and stock management
