This is a remote position.
Job Summary
We are looking for an SAP BASIS Consultant with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in SAP system administration and production support. The ideal candidate should have experience supporting SAP S/4HANA, along with exposure to SAP Process Orchestration (PO), SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ), and SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS). The role involves day-to-day BASIS administration, system monitoring, transport management, and supporting business-critical SAP environments.
Key Responsibilities
Perform SAP BASIS administration for SAP S/4HANA and related SAP systems.
Monitor SAP systems to ensure availability, performance, and reliability.
Handle day-to-day production support activities, including incident analysis and issue resolution.
Manage SAP transports across Development, Quality, and Production environments.
Perform client administration activities such as client copy, export/import, and refreshes.
Execute SAP kernel upgrades, support package implementation, and system patching under established procedures.
Perform SAP system start/stop activities, health checks, and routine housekeeping tasks.
Support SAP Solution Manager monitoring and alert management.
Assist in SAP HANA database administration activities, including monitoring and basic performance analysis.
Support SAP PO, BOBJ, and BODS environments by monitoring services and resolving operational issues.
Coordinate with functional, development, infrastructure, and database teams during deployments and maintenance activities.
Support backup, restore, and disaster recovery activities.
Document technical procedures, issue resolutions, and operational activities.
Participate in planned maintenance activities and rotational on-call support as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
4–5 years of hands-on experience in SAP BASIS Administration.
Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA environments.
Exposure to SAP PO, SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ), and SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS).
Good understanding of SAP architecture, system administration, and landscape management.
Experience with SAP transport management, client administration, and system monitoring.
Hands-on experience with SAP kernel upgrades, patches, and support package implementation.
Working knowledge of SAP Solution Manager.
Basic to intermediate knowledge of SAP HANA Database Administration.
Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Experience working in production support environments with SLA-driven incident management.
