Stone setter & Jewellery Hand Maker & Cutter

Stone setters-                                                                                              Responsible for setting stones and other gemstones into jewelry pieces.  Cut and shape the stones to create the desired design. Examine and select stones for quality and size.  Polish and clean the stones. Use specialized tools to secure and set the stones. Inspect the finished pieces for accuracy and quality. Repair and resize existing jewelry pieces. Maintain a clean and organized work area.                                                                                                                                                                                     Jewellery Hand Maker & Cutter                                                                                                                                                                                                    Ability to accurately measure, cut and shape precious metals  Utilize a variety of tools and techniques to create jewelry pieces Ability to work with a variety of materials including gold, silver, platinum and diamonds .Ability to work with intricate detailing and delicate pieces Ability to follow instructions and drawings to create pieces Ability to work with small tools and under a microscope Ability to inspect and polish finished jewelry pieces Ability to create molds and casts Knowledge of jewelry production methods Knowledge of safety and quality standards Ability to work with a team and individually
