Application Engineering Supervisor

Our client is a global leader in providing innovative solutions to their automotive clients. As a key player in the market, they are committed to delivering excellence in both product and service.

Currently, they are seeking an experienced Application Engineer to join their dynamic team in Germany.

As an Application Engineer, you will be the primary interface between the company and their automotive customers. Working closely with a team of Applications Engineers and Account Managers, you will leverage your technical expertise to drive new business objectives (NBO) and influence technical decisions while showcasing their product value proposition.

Responsibilities

• Utilize your in-depth product knowledge and application understanding to support new business opportunities and ensure optimal product offerings.
• Conduct regular meetings with customers to align specifications and provide technical solutions.
• Facilitate effective communication between customers and internal stakeholders.
• Provide strategic technical assessments of new business opportunities in collaboration with product teams.
• Participate in design review sessions and conduct drawing/specification reviews with customers.
• Ensure projects meet customer requirements and quality standards.
• Assist in developing and refining product configurations to meet application needs.
• Negotiate technical specifications and compliance with customers.
• Establish and maintain strong customer engineering relationships.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Strong technical skills, ideally in automotive or industry related to high voltage components (such as contactors, fuses, battery distribution units) or sensing solutions, e.g. Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• In-depth understanding of automotive businesses, organizational structures, and competitive market positions.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong ethical values and integrity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
