Job Description

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to help deliver high‑quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions within the AtData product portfolio. This role partners with Product and Engineering teams throughout the Agile development lifecycle to ensure quality is embedded from design through release. You will report to an Engineering Leader and will work remotely within a distributed Experian engineering organization.

AtData (an Experian company) has been a leader in data quality and email intelligence for over 20 years, processing billions of transactions monthly through enterprise APIs and platforms. You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Complete manual and automated test scripts as part of an Agile Scrum team.
  • Perform functional, system, smoke, regression, API, data, security, and performance testing.
  • Design comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios in consideration of business and technical requirements.
  • Validate backend processes by understanding database models, integrations, and data flows.
  • Identify defects, quality risks, and test results across the team.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Approve user stories, defect fixes, and production releases.
  • Lead QA efforts for assigned technical programs to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Investigate and resolve complex QA issues in collaboration with Engineering and Product partners.
  • Recommend new QA tools, and methodologies.
  • Focus on test coverage, automation, and overall system reliability.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams delivering customer‑facing applications
  • Hands‑on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium or similar)
  • Experience testing RESTful APIs and backend services
  • Experience validating data using databases and backend systems
  • Working knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language
  • Experience testing functional, integration, regression, performance, and data‑intensive systems
  • Experience with AWS and Linux experience
